In accordance with government policies, the Integrative Care Center provides integrated care for patients with multiple diseases, old ages and disability. The Center, with a 68-bed unit located on the 9th floor of the Medical Building I, focuses on the physical, psychological, spiritual and social aspects of care. It employs strategies that promote health and prevent disease and arranges for appropriate long-term or hospice care. The Center not only cares for patients admitted from the ED and provides cooperative care for patients with multiple chronic conditions from various departments, but it also extends its services to the community. In order to offer comprehensive and complete care to patients and the residents in the Greater Tainan Area, CMMC adopts a mixture of vertical and horizontal integration strategies to care for hospitalized patients, strengthens the connection with the community and provides continuing care after discharge.
