Angina:Initial 100 mg QD; maintenance, 100-400 mg QD.
CHF:
New York Heart Association (NYHA) class II: Initial 25 mg QD for 2 wks.
NYHA class III-IV: Initial 12.5 mg QD for 2 wks.
Hypertension: Initial 50-100 mg QD ; maintenance, 100-400 mg QD.
Max. 400 mg/d. |

| Contraindication |
bradycardia( severe),
cardiac failure(decompensated),
cardiogenic shock,
heart block( second and third degree),
hypersensitivity to metoprolol succinate or any component of the product,
sick sinus syndrome (without functioning artificial pacemaker). |

M: Decreased sexual ability; drowsiness; trouble in sleeping; weakness
L: Bradycardia; dizziness; bronchospasm; CHF; mental depression; reduced peripheral circulation; anxiety, constipation; diarrhea; nasal congestion; N/V; stomach discomfort
R: Skin reaction; arrhythmias; back pain or joint pain; chest pain; confusion; hepatotoxicity; leucopenia; orthostatic hypotension; psoriasiform eruption; thrombocytopenia; changes in taste; dry, sore eyes; frequent urination; nightmares; tingling of fingers, toes, or skin, especially the scalp |
