Indications	Hypocalcemia (treatment) & electrolyte replenisher; Antihyperkalemic; Exchange transfusions in newborns
Administration & Dosage	仿單記載: 通常每日或隔日注射一次，每次10-20ml注射於靜脈內，必須緩慢注射之。 Micromedex及UpToDate建議劑量: Adult: Hypocalcemia: Acute, symptomatic: 200-1000 mg calcium chloride every 1-3 days, MAX rate:100mg/min. Severe, symptomatic (eg, seizure, tetany): 1000 mg calcium chloride over 10 minutes; repeat every 60 minutes until symptoms resolve Cardiac arrest or cardiotoxicity in the presence of hyperkalemia, hypocalcemia, or hypermagnesemia: IV: 500-1000 mg calcium chloride over 2-5 minutes; may repeat as necessary. Pediatric: Hypocalcemia: IV, 2.7 to 5 mg/kg/dose calcium chloride every 4 to 6 hours; MAX rate, 100mg/min Cardiac arrest or cardiotoxicity in the presence of hyperkalemia, hypocalcemia, or hypermagnesemia: Infants and Children: IV, I.O.: 20 mg/kg calcium chloride (MAX: 2000mg/dose); may repeat as necessary.
Contraindication	digitalis toxicity; hypercalcemia; blood hypercoagulability; IM/SC injection; renal failure ;ventricular fibrillation.
Precaution
Adverse reaction	Constipation; N/V; metallic taste; cardiac arrest (with rapid IV injection); hypercalcemia; hypercalciuria; hypertension; hypomagnesemia; hypophosphatemia; milk-alkali syndrome; muscle weakness; vasodilation; hypotension; arrhythmias
