7-10 days or more.

Children, 2-2.5 mg/kg q8h for 7-10
days or more.
Intralumbar or intraventricular:
Infants and children≥ 3 mo, 1-2 mg QD.
Doses up to 8 mg/d have been used in infants with functioning ventricular
shunts.
