Acute mania: Initial 300-600 mg TID, the dosage being adjusted at wkly intervals; maintenance, 300 mg TID-QID. Max. 2.4 g/d.

significant cardiovascular disease;

M: Diarrhea; thirst; nausea; urinary urgency; trembling
L: CV effects; EPS; leukocytosis; genitourinary effects; nephrogenic diabetes insipidus; neurologic effects; weight gain; skin reaction; GI upset; muscle twitching
R: Blue color and pain in fingers and toes; coldness of arms and legs; pseudotumor cerebri
