Operation on intestine - postoperative wound infection;

prophylaxis:

Pelvic infection, acute

Urinary tract infectious disease,complicated:

Deep IM/IV infusion,
Adult and Pediatrics ≧13yrs
Community acquired pneumonia: 1 gm QD for 10-14 days
Diabetic foot infection, without osteomyelitis:
1 gm QD for up to 28 days (parenteral or parenteral plus oral switch therapy)
Infection of skin and/or subcutaneous tissue, complicated: 1 gm QD for 7-14 days
Infectious disease of abdomen, complicated:
1 gm QD for 5-14 days
Operation on intestine - postoperative wound infection; prophylaxis: 1 gm IV infusion 1 hr prior to surgical incision
Pelvic infection, acute: 1 gm QD for 3-10 days
Urinary tract infectious disease,complicated:
1 gm QD for 10-14 days
Pediatric 3 months to 12 yrs
Community acquired pneumonia:
15 mg/kg twice daily for 10-14 days; Max: 1 g/day

15 mg/kg twice daily for up to 28 days (parenteral or parenteral plus oral switch therapy); Max: 1 g/day
Infection of skin and/or subcutaneous tissue, complicated: 15 mg/kg twice daily for 7-14 days; Max: 1 g/day
Infectious disease of abdomen, complicated:
15 mg/kg twice daily for 5-14 days; Max: 1 g/day
Pelvic infection, acute:
15 mg/kg twice daily for 3-10 days; Max: 1 g/day
Urinary tract infectious disease,complicated:

hypersensitivity to ertapenem or other drugs of same class;
prior anaphylactic reactions to beta-lactams;hypersensitivity to amide-type anesthetics when given by lidocaine-IM injection.
