With the teaching-oriented clinical setting, healthcare professionals, and computer-based library, Chi Mei Hospital is renowned for the wide range of specialty training. We train more than 500 medical interns and clerks every year. Each year, more than 1,000 medical professionals, such as nurses, pharmacists, and lab technicians, receive training in Chi Mei Hospital. We have gained a strong reputation from the DOH, Taiwan Joint Commission on Hospital Accreditation and medical universities for providing comprehensive education and training. In June 2012, the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) Center was established. It is an evaluation and training clinical simulation center providing scenario-based assessment. The Center has synchronous video and audio recording from multiple angles, simulation clinics and standardized patients to assess clinical competency of medical students in different disciplines. This realistic training and live environment is designed to improve patient care, medical education and clinical skills in highly realistic clinical scenarios.
