Of approximately 6.4 million US dollars granted per year to research activities, more than 3.2 million are from Chi Mei Hospital. Chi Mei Hospital has taken on a number of national projects and obtained many breakthrough results. In 2017, the CMMC human research protection program was awarded Full Accreditation by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP), the first in southern Taiwan. Chi Mei Hospital staff produces more than 300 journal publications every year. Over 70% of the papers have been published in the science citation index journals. Some research inventions have received international patents. Nearly 50% of our employees hold academic positions.
