Chi Mei’s Nursing Department integrates long-standing clinical values with forward-looking innovation. Our vision is to serve as a leading center for nursing practice and professional development, shaping key nursing agendas while contributing to the advancement of the profession.

Our outcomes reflect this commitment: the nursing turnover rate has remained 4–6%, well below national averages, and overall staff satisfaction consistently exceeds 98%. Chi Mei has been widely recognized with major national honors, including the TTQS Gold Award, the National Quality Award (Gold), and the 2024 Nightingale Award-Special Group Honor.

Innovation is a defining strength. Chi Mei nurses have developed more than 30 patented inventions, several of which-such as warming garments, protective gloves, wireless smart scales, and pressure-relief devices-are now in clinical use.

Since 2014, the department has also played a leading role in long-term care development. Our home-care services were rated Excellent by the Tainan City Government, underscoring our commitment to compassionate, community-centered care.
