The Department of Medical Imaging, consisting of a team of radiologists, radiographers, nurses and administrative staff, provides cutting-edge facilities and advanced technology solutions. The Radiation Diagnostic Division houses state-of-the-art imaging systems, including three advanced MRI scanners, two angiography systems, two dual-source 256-slice CT scanners, one 64-slice CT scanner, one diagnostic and interventional 16-slice CT scanner, a latest 3D tomosynthesis digital mammography and other sophisticated technology. The PAC system allows physicians to access images through any computer within the hospital and provides an integrated platform for information sharing with the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Specially trained radiologists at the department of medical imaging also perform transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) and minimally invasive procedures such as brain aneurysm embolization to ensure the provision of a full range of diagnostic and interventional medical imaging services.
